The Beauty of God and His Creation

Is this picture to the left from the Garden of Eden? It sure looks like it could be, doesn’t it? So lovely! But no, it’s not, for the Garden of Eden was even more beautiful! Heaven as well is even more gorgeous than all the beauty we enjoy today on earth!

God created beauty for many reasons.

First, our Creator Himself is awesomely, limitlessly, literally breathtakingly beautiful, so the beauty He creates is just a reflection of His awe-striking, heart-stopping, mind-blowing beauty.

Sharing One's Husband with Other Wives and Houris

In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—  for we are members of his body.  “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” [Genesis 2:24]      This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.               - Ephesians 5:28-32 (NIV)

Beloved Muslim woman, are you accused of jealousy for not wanting to share your husband with other women and houris? As a Muslim woman, you possibly know all too well that Muslim men can have up to 4 wives at a time, as well as captives.

“Oh…. But we love each other”

Dear Sisters in Christ, As the wife of a convert from Islam who is now on fire for our Lord Jesus Christ, I am a partner in his ministry, Jesus to Muslims.  We are actively involved with Christian Muslim relations and in outreach to Muslims.  In the ministry I have been personally involved with more Christian-Muslim personal relationships than I ever could have imagined.  In the past two decades due to internet dating and a large migration of Muslims to the West many Muslims and Christians have found themselves in relationship; either that of dating or marriage.

Healing of a Woman's Heart

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion - to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. - Isaiah 61:1-3

Mother's Day and Islam

I remember my Islamic Studies teacher Muhammad Ismail telling us children that the Prophet advised one companion to be kind and dutiful to his mother saying: “Be dutiful to your mother, as Paradise is at her foot.”, meaning be dutiful to her, obey her, and serve her and take care of her because being kind and dutiful to the parents and pleasing them is a reason of being admitted to Paradise.

Knowing that my father had married several wives and that there were other relations as well, I raised my hand and asked my teacher, ‘Does it refer to only my own mother or also to other mothers too?’ He was little perturbed by my question but then said, ‘all of them’.

Status of women under the New Covenant

According to Christian belief, a husband is commanded to “love his wife just as Jesus loves His Church and gave His life for her” (Ephesians 5:25). But, as people turn away from the Bible, the suffering of women and others increases. Some have claimed Biblical authority for mistreating women, but there is not a single passage in Scripture that encourages people to be harsh with their wives.
